The launch of the iPhone 14 series is one of the most awaited tech events of this year! We have already heard a lot about the iPhone 14 series, from its updated design, and camera upgrades to the new chipset by Apple. But most of the major changes are expected to hit with the Pro models of the iPhone 14 series. For that reason, the hopes for the iPhone 15 are much higher! However, the iPhone 15 won’t launch until the fall of 2023 and the confirmed date of the iPhone 14 is yet to be announced, but the rumour mill is already in the works to paint an image of the iPhone 15! As iPhone 14 has already gone into the production stage, a lot of Apple fans are now eyeing on the iPhone 15 series, which is expected to onboard some major changes. Here’s everything that you need to know about the Apple iPhone 15 series.
Analyst Ross Young earlier shared that Apple may retain the look of iPhone 14 Pro models to the whole iPhone 15 series. That means, the iPhone 15 series will completely move away from the notch style and adopt the rumoured iPhone 14 Pro models design of pill-and-hole cutout.
End of Lightning port on iPhones? Well, that’s what rumours suggest that the iPhone 15 models are expected to carry USB-C ports instead of Apple’s traditional Lightning port to comply with European regulations. Not just that, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also tipped that there is a strong possibility that next year’s Apple flagship iPhone series will finally bring USB-C.
Periscope telephoto lens technology may make its debut in iPhones with the iPhone 15. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says only the most iPhone 15 Pro Max is going to get the periscope camera lens. Periscope lens technology allows more optical zoom capabilities with a standard telephoto lens.
The classic Touch-ID or Home Button was replaced by Face ID with the launch of iPhone X. Well, it may return to the iPhone 15 series but with a twist! Rumours suggest that Apple has been working on a Touch ID for iPhone but not with the home button. Instead, it will be shipped under the display of the iPhone, just like any major Android smartphone’s in-fingerprint sensor.
Previous reports by Korean website The Elec suggested that Samsung Display is developing new under-panel camera technology that might be equipped by Apple to hide Face ID under the display on iPhone 15 Pro models.
