It was recently revealed that the Xiaomi 13 series will debut in China on December 11, alongside various other products. Now, the company has shared a new official teaser for the series which teases a fascinating new nano skin technology for the back of the smartphone. The technology makes the back panel more resistant to dust and colours making it easier to clean.
To highlight this new technology, the teaser shows the device being covered in dust and different kinds of paint, which is then easily cleaned off by a small piece of paper cloth. This is a great fix for wiping any sort of dust or marks from the smartphone’s back.
Xiaomi’s launch was earlier scheduled to take place on December 1, which was postponed reportedly due to the death of China’s former leader.
The Xiaomi 13 series will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The lineup will run on MIUI 14, which will be based on the Android 13 operating system. The series will have an IPX68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Xiaomi 13 series’ Pro model is also confirmed to feature a Sony IMX989 1-inch primary camera sensor on the back. The standard model will feature a 75mm Leica telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Xiaomi 13 packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports 67 W fast charging, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro model will pack a 4,820mAh battery with 120 W fast charging support. The series is claimed to outlast the battery life of Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. 50 W wireless charging is also supported by the Pro model.
