If your Android smartphone is getting slow or is short of space, then it is filled with cache and junk files. These files take up unnecessary space on your smartphone causing it to lag drastically, though, it is easy to get rid of this problem. There are ways to easily optimize your smartphone by removing junk and freeing up space. Here are some ways through which you can perk it up- just delete phone trash.
Photos is an app by Google which acts as a secondary gallery on your smartphone and keeps all your photos and videos in specific folders in one place. Photos also takes backup of all your photos and videos through Google so that you still have your media preserved even in case of smartphone theft or loss. Google Photos has a trash folder where the files you delete remain for 60 days. To delete them immediately, open the Google Photos app and tap on Library. Then find the Bin option and click on Empty. It will ask for a confirmation. Confirm and all the trash files in the Bin folder will be deleted.
Files by Google is a file manager app used by millions worldwide as an alternative to the in-built file manager. It offers ease of access along with a trash folder where your deleted files and folders go to. These still take up space for a period of time until they’re permanently deleted. To instantly delete them and free up space, open the Files app and tap on the three lines at the top left. Then tap on Trash and select all items. Tap on Delete and it will ask for a confirmation. Confirm and those files will be permanently deleted.
You can also delete Cache and unrequired downloaded files to free up space. To empty the cache, open Settings and tap on the relative app. Now tap on clear Cache. It will free up space previously clogged by the Cache data. You can also delete files from the Downloads folder which are not required anymore to empty the space and boost your smartphone performance. So, go ahead and give it a try yourself!
