Vivo will launch its flagship Vivo X80 series in India on May 18 which will succeed its Vivo X70 series. The event will unveil the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro which are expected to continue the trend of rolling out new smartphone camera features. Well, the Vivo X80 series has already made its appearance in the global market earlier this month, and now the smartphones will be available on Flipkart after the 12PM launch on May 18. The standard Vivo X80 price is expected to be in the upper mid-range price segment while the Pro version will be a premium flagship as it comes with a QHD+ E5 10-bit AMOLED LTPO display, a 50MP quad-camera setup, and gimbal stabilization technology for better videography. It’s official that Vivo is continuing its collaboration with ZEISS, a global leader in optics and optoelectronics. That means you will experience rich camera performance with the Vivo X80 series. Based on its global launch and renders, Vivo X80 will feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate along with 1000 nits of brightness. This will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor running on Android 12 OS with Funtouch 12 custom skin out of the box. On the other hand, Vivo X80 Pro is expected to boast the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It will have the same display as the Vivo X80. In the camera department, X80 Pro has a quad-camera setup, including a 50MP Samsung GNV sensor with OIS along with a 48MP ultra-wide lens, 12MP portrait lens and 8MP periscope lens with 5x optical and 60x digital zoom support. While, the standard X80 Pro will have a triple camera setup of a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary sensor with OIS support along with a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP 50mm telephoto lens.
Vivo is yet to reveal the price of the Vivo X80 series in India, which will be announced during the launch on May 18, 2022. Though, X80 series prices in India are expected to be in the range of flagships, hence standard version is expected to be under Rs. 50,000, while the flagship Vivo X80 Pro may go slightly above Rs. 60,000. But these are just the expected price ranges, the exact prices of Vivo X80 and X80 Pro will be known after the launch.
