Samsung has announced the date of the Galaxy Unpacked event where the company will unveil the latest Galaxy S23 series flagship smartphone lineup. The event will be hosted on February 1, 2023. It will be Samsung’s first Unpacked event in three years that will occur at a physical venue.
Samsung had earlier confirmed to host the Unpacked event in February 2023, but it did not reveal the exact date. However, a well-known tipster @IceUniverse claimed that it will be hosted on February 1. Now, Samsung has confirmed the leak.
The in-person Unpacked event will take place in San Francisco, beginning at 10 am PST on February 1. As per Indian Standard Time, it will take place at 11:30 pm (IST) on the same day. It will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel.
The highlight of the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 will be the Galaxy S23 series. “A new era of Galaxy innovation is coming,” Samsung said in its invite. “The new Galaxy S series will be the epitome of how we define the ultimate premium experience. We’re raising the bar and setting new standards for what’s epic.”
The specifications, features, and design of the upcoming Galaxy S lineup have been leaked already. The series is expected to include the standard Galaxy S23 smartphone along with the S23 Plus and S23 Ultra models. Samsung Galaxy S23 series will look more or less the same as its predecessor. However, the back of these devices will carry individually-embedded camera sensors, just like we saw last year on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The new lineup could feature an upgraded Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor, up to 12 GB RAM, up to 1 TB storage, and the 200 MP primary camera sensor that could either be the older ISOCELL HP1 sensor, newer ISOCELL HP3 sensor, or the unreleased ISOCELL HP2 sensor.

There is no clarity on whether the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be Qualcomm-exclusive with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or the company will release an Exynos version for limited markets. The lineup could also support satellite connectivity like the iPhone 14 series. The battery and charging speeds could remain unchanged this time around.
