Nothing smartphone has been a mystery until the company held an event dubbed as ‘The Truth’ earlier last week. So, now we know that Nothing Phone 1 is actually coming and that it was not merely so much hype about nothing. But without revealing all the details about the first smartphone by Nothing, the company’s founder Carl Pei cleared the air around the arrival of the smartphone- he indicated it hit the market this Summer. Though, the exact launch date of Nothing Phone 1 has still not been revealed. Besides that, the event revealed that the Nothing Phone 1 will be powered by a Snapdragon processor. This is all that we know so far! The design, features, specs, and most importantly price are still being kept a secret.
Luckily, the concept designer Ben Geskin shared a concept image of Nothing Phone 1 on Twitter which helped us conceptualize what the new smartphone may look like. In addition to the known fact that the Nothing Phone will use a Snapdragon processor which will run on the company’s own Nothing OS, Geskin used the teaser image and cryptic logo shared during the event to turn it into the design that can be possible.
The concept image shared by Geskin carries a transparent casing just like the earbuds by Nothing. Looking at the trends and acceptance of the rare see-through tech gadgets, the inclusion of such design in the Nothing smartphone will make it stand out from the other smartphones.
The top-left markings in the shared logo image during the event is considered to be as a rear camera module while in the middle it seems to feature the wireless charging coil. Well, the front look or the display is still debatable about whether it will feature a centered punch-hole camera or will go with the under-display selfie camera.
As per the official information by Nothing, the smartphone will feature its own Nothing OS, which is expected to be like the Android OS. Besides that, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon SoC.
Still, there are several questions about the upcoming Nothing smartphone that are unanswered and even the shared concept images don’t reveal all the answers. However, you will not have to wait long for the confirmation about the specs and looks of the Nothing 1 smartphone, as it is coming this summer. Now, that part is very much confirmed.
