The upcoming foldable smartphone by Motorola –– Razr 3 –– is expected to launch in China in late July. Ahead of that, several leaks suggest the device may see completely new hardware and a revamped design. From what we know so far, Motorola is working on developing a new Razr clamshell under the codename “Maven” and the device’s first live photos, and a speculated specification sheet has also been leaked. To add to the that, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) Ross Young has now revealed that the forthcoming Razr would have a much larger display panel than the 2020 model.
Since the next Motorola Razr image has leaked, I can say it will have a 6.7″ foldable display rather than the 6.2″ on the Razr 5G. It will be made by China Star. The cover display will expand from 2.7″ to ~3″.
Young claims the new Motorola Razr will sport a 6.7-inch foldable screen instead of the 6.2-inch display seen on the Razr 5G’s predecessor. Motorola also appears to be increasing the size of the cover display.
The Razr 5G had a 2.7-inch external display, while the new Razr is expected to have a 3-inch cover display. China Star Optoelectronics (CSOT) will be used to craft both displays. According to some older leaks, the phone’s internal display will offer a 120 Hz refresh rate, a Full HD+ resolution, and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

From what the leaks suggest, the device will sport a 32 MP front camera, a 50 MP main camera, and a 13 MP ultra-wide lens. The device might also come with up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. It is said to have a 2,800 mAh battery, but there is no word on its support for fast charging.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is expected to run the new Razr. Although, there are some reports that suggest that there may be a new variant later that would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset.
The foldable phone is also expected to be available in two colours: Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue.
