The Vivo Y21T smartphone has been officially launched by Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer in India days after its debut in Indonesia. The company’s Y-series smartphone features a waterdrop-style display notch, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 processor, and a triple-rear camera setup with a 50 megapixel primary camera. Vivo Y21T is available in two colours options — Pearl White and Midnight Blue. Vivo Y21T price has been pegged at around Rs. 16,000. It is available with only one storage configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
While both the Indonesian and Indian versions have the same name, the two have minor differences. The most important distinction is the display, which is a 6.51-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate in the Indonesian version, while the newly launched in India has a larger 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 96 percent NTSC colour gamut.
Vivo Y21T has a triple camera setup that has a 50 megapixel primary sensor, a 2 megapixel Bokeh camera, and a 2 megapixel Macro lens at the back. For selfies and video calls, there is a 8 megapixel camera on the front. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities. As previously stated, the Vivo Y21T is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, 128GB of internal storage that can be increased to 1TB, and 4GB of RAM with 1GB of virtual memory expansion. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor, FunTouch OS 12 based on Android 11, and liquid cooling technology, USB-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, a dual SIM slot are among the other features.
Talking about its looks and design, the smartphone comes with a 2.5D flat frame and 8mm thin body, which weighs around 182 grams. At the back, you will see the pearl lustre with a hint of pink for Pearl White model whereas the Midnight Blue colour comes in a sophisticated frosted surface with a subtle shine allowing the deep shade of blue to overpower the look at the back.
The price of Vivo Y21T for India isn’t announced yet. But keeping in mind the price of the model in Indonesia, Y21T which is price at IDR 3,099,000 is expected to be available around Rs. 16,000 in India.
