With the iPhone 14 launch date approaching near, rumours and leaks have started doing rounds on the internet for the next year’s iPhone 15 lineup as well. While we already read that the iPhone 14 standard model will be less exciting as well as less powerful than the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the same is likely to be applied for iPhone 15 lineup as well. As per a new leak, just like iPhone 14 this year, Apple will once again bring two separate SOCs for the four devices in the iPhone 15 lineup. A tipster has shared the same on the social media site Weibo via the Chinese-language site ITHome.
As per the reports, only the Pro iPhones will get Apple’s newest A16 Bionic chipset this year and the smae will continue to go with other future line-ups as well. The report too suggests that the iPhone 15 Pro will get the A17 while the non-Pro mobiles will be retaining a year old chipset.
That’s not all, the other major difference that we will get to see on iPhone pro and non pro models are periscopic camera lenses. “After several years of hesitation, the company will bring a periscope lens. However, it will make it exclusive to the more-expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max,” says the report. Analyst Ming-Chio Kuo shared that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the first iPhone to get a periscope lens. However, the iPhone 15 Pro will stick to the telephoto lens. As per the analyst, the periscope lens will offer 6x magnification while capturing photos.
Also, the new punch-hole design will be seen on Pro models only.
Meanwhile, Apple is just a week away from the iPhone 14 series release. This year will be remarkable as Apple will be bringing major upgrades on the new iPhone 14 series. The company will also introduce a new variant dubbed iPhone 14 Max. The event will take place on September 7, 2022.
