Our Internet connection has become an integral part of life. We look up to it for almost every kind of information in our day-to-day life, source our various daily life requirements from it and also carry on our professions on it. And yes, it is the biggest form of entertainment for everyone now. However, despite paying high rates and charges to service providers, we often face WiFi signal strength issues. Many times, the WiFi signal strength on our device is too weak and it hampers the Internet connection to the various services we seek on it. If you too use WiFi connection for the internet and it is giving you a headache, here is how to boost Wifi signal strength on phone- easy and useful tips to improve the Internet connection on your smartphone or device. Do note that these can be quite shocking in nature and would make you question the state of technology in the 21st century.
It may sound ridiculous, considering this the 21st century and not the Dark Ages, but is you Restart/Reboot your smartphone or device, your Internet connection may come back to life! Alternatively, there is another old, 20th century hack available- you can switch off your phone for some time and then switch it on. This should fix your WiFi speed issue. Shocking, indeed! It certainly is a comment on the kind of quality all the smartphone manufacturers provide.
If restarting your phone doesn’t work (Yes, that can happen too!), then the next thing that you can do is switch off your WiFi router, unplug it and let it stay like this for a minute or two at least. Keep your fingers crossed and then restart it.
Too many obstructions between your device and the router might create a problem in internet connectivity. Try to keep the distance between the router and the smartphone as low as you can to minimize the signal blockage. You can even try to place the router in close proximity to your phone. Keeping your router a bit higher can also give you better signal strength. This solution too is so last century too!
Another solution that may work is if you scratch out everything and start anew. Remove your saved WiFi network and then add it once again by entering a password. This might help to boost the WiFi signal, if all goes well.
And then there is this mother of all solutions! Reset ALL the settings in your smartphone or device! It will turn all the custom settings, like saved WiFi networks and Bluetooth devices, home screen layout, etc. to default level that was there when you bought the phone. This may help with better signal strength. Of course, you will lose everything on your phone, unless you saved it. It is an extreme solution and will take quite a lot of time to execute.
